I've been on quite the hunt for custom visualization presets lately. I even went so far as to download and install Winamp again to get AVS and Milkdrop presets. That didn't work out. So then I found out about this plugin called 'Project M' which is essentially an open-source spiritual successor that apparently is compatible with VLC. It came as a compressed file, so I ran WinRar in admin mode, decompressed and extracted the files into the VLC>Plugins>Visualization folder. I then opened VLC, went into preferences, advanced options and under audio>visualizations I directed VLC o the path of the extracted files where the presets are located.

Whenever I select the plugin and start any song, the program crashes entirely with no error message. It prompts me to send an a report to the devs, but when I attempt to it says that the connection can't be established.

Is anyone aware of the plugin? Have I taken a misstep? I'm also willing to look for alternative visualization plugins if anyone has recommendations if they feel I should just abandon ProjectM. Thank you in advance.
